Seattle cosplayer with a passion for gowns and historically inspired sewing techniques
I started cosplay in 2011, so I’ve been around the block a few times.
My favorite thing about cosplay is the friends I’ve made along the way, but a very close second are the techniques I love to learn and share with others! I hold multiple competitive titles, including the ALA 2026 Representative for the Winter Cosplay Championship and the Emerald City Comic Con 2024 Needlework category win. My specialties include incorporating historical undergarments and crafting techniques into cosplay, embroidery, and wig craft.
I love creating big, sparkly, nostalgic gowns and living out my greatest childhood dreams through cosplay. Ask me how I’ve made anything – I’ve crafted at just about every budget since I started at age 13, and I love sharing construction techniques with anyone who will listen. Yes, everything I make has pockets!
Slow, conscious crafting is also very important to me. Everything I make is something I care about, and whether that project is for a week or three years, the goal of the end result is to wear it multiple times and make improvements as I go. I do not purchase costumes, but I love a good thrift flip, especially for simple projects.
Outside of cosplay, I’m a Technical Artist in the games industry and spend my evenings playing Astro Bot and rewatching the best movie ever made (1998’s Ever After).
